Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church

Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church is a growing Christian congregation serving Birmingham and the surrounding communities. We are committed to helping people find Jesus, follow Jesus, and experience His transforming love.

At Valley, church is more than a weekly service. It is a spiritual community where individuals and families can worship, study God’s Word, build meaningful relationships, and serve others. Whether you are exploring faith, returning to church, or have followed Christ for many years, you are welcome to join the journey.

Our desire is that every person who enters Valley experiences more than a program or gathering. We pray that each person has a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ—our Savior, source of hope, and reason for worship.

Under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Dwayne Campbell, Valley seeks to be a community church that supports the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social well-being of its members and neighbors.

Valley is part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Protestant Christian denomination with more than 23 million members united by faith in Jesus Christ, commitment to service, and hope in His promised return. The denomination emerged from a Christian revival movement during the 1840s and later adopted a name that expresses two central convictions: the biblical seventh-day Sabbath and the second advent of Jesus. Seventh-day refers to the seventh-day Sabbath—Saturday—which Adventists recognize as a sacred time established by God for worship, rest, fellowship, and communion with Him.

Adventists express our faith in the promised second coming, or second advent, of Jesus Christ. We look forward with hope to the day when Christ will return and complete His plan of redemption.

The Sabbath is understood not merely as a day of religious obligation, but as a joyful opportunity to experience communion with God and with one another. (Adventist General Conference)

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three eternal Persons united in love, character, and purpose.

We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of humanity, and rose victoriously from the grave. Through His life, death, and resurrection, forgiveness and salvation are available to everyone who places faith in Him.

Jesus returned to heaven after His resurrection and promised that He would come again. His return is the blessed hope of the Christian church.

We believe the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, Teacher, and Guide. The Spirit draws people toward Christ, helps believers understand God’s Word, transforms character, and empowers the church for service.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and the foundation for Christian faith, teaching, worship, and daily living.

We worship on Saturday, the biblical seventh-day Sabbath. It is a weekly celebration of God as Creator and Redeemer—a time for worship, renewal, fellowship, and compassionate service.

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. His return gives us hope and motivates us to live faithfully, love generously, and share the gospel with others.
